Eastern Virginia Medical School Surgical Assistant Program Student Chapter Mission Statement The mission of the EVMS Surgical Assistant Program’s student chapter is to support and promote surgical assistant students. Beginning with the Surgical Assistant Class of 2005, we plan to assess the needs of the Surgical Assistant (SA) students by promoting life-long education and working towards securing valuable resources that help us attain the highest level of skills to become successful Certified Surgical Assistants. Additionally, the Class of 2005, with assistance from the Class of 2006, plan to participate in community and institutional activities to promote this valuable and worthwhile career. The SA students at EVMS would welcome the opportunity to network with other SA students across the nation. Surgical assisting is a growing profession that depends on close relationships with others starting out in the field. Together, we can potentially help each other share resources, network regarding job opportunities, and help support the NSAA’s mission. |
